For those of you interested in flood control issues in the confluence region (i.e., the area where the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers meet), check out Rebuild Pinhook. Pinhook, MO was devastated in the flood of 2011. Located in the middle of the Birds Point/New Madrid spillway, their homes and community was destroyed. The residents have been struggling to rebuild.  The website tells their story. In particular, take a look at the film they’ve posted, titled “God is My Lawyer — A Film About Pinhook, MO“.
